Did you compile pcmcia manually? Which version of pcmcia? I'm using SuSE
7.0 on a Satellite 1640 with pcmcia-cs-3.1.22 and kernel 2.2.17 and that
works just fine, a colleague of me had problems with an older version of
the pcmcia package and a SuSE 6.4
