You will probably find that one of the mixer settings (the one that
controls the cd rom audio level) is muted or very low. This problem is
identical to playing an audio cd under windows but having the CD audio
level down (in the mixer control section). Use a mixer setting control
program to change the mixer settings of your sound card. It will
probably be called "Line In", maybe even CDROM.
