I would start by checking if the hardware is similar to any other
travelmate. I would then check the linux on laptops page to see if
anyone had problems with previous models.
I personally haven't had any real problems with the travelmate. I
recall having to start with "linux apm=off" with lilo, and then patch
the kernel. But that was for an older kernel. A problem which is
probably fixed with newer distributions.
