Hi,
I installed Redhat 7.0 on a Dell Latitude C800. The default install crashes on loading i82365.o with some numeric garbage and message
Aiee, killiing interrupt handler
Kernel panic: Attempted to kill the idle task!
In interrupt handler - not syncing.
But this is not the main problem. I installed the 2.2.17 kernel and the latest pcmcia utils (3.1.22). Using them, I got past the module loading, but when I try to start cardmgr, the machine simlpy freezes. I tried putting "do_scan=0" into PCIC_OPTS, but this did not help. The freeze happens both with and without a network card inserted.
I will be grateful for any suggestions.
Simon
