Hello!
I'm having trouble with PCMCIA on my Toshiba Satellite 1695CDT. I
plug in my networking card and it is recognized as a NetGear FA410TXC
(which, conveniently enough, it is). My network.opts seems to be set
correctly; ifconfig shows an active eth0 interface and netstat -rn
shows a new addition to the routing table. But... no connection. No
ping. No light on my hub. Flashing (instead of solid) lights on my
adapter. The cable and the card work fine under MS Windows, so I
think the hardware is OK. In /var/log/messages, I see the following
kernel messages:
eth0: found link beat
eth0: lost link beat
Any ideas? I'm running SuSE 6.4, kernel 2.2.14, and pcmcia-cs 3.1.11.
Thanks much,
Jeff
